 elysia xpector Dual Headphone Amp

Mix and Monitor. Everywhere. A dual headphone amplifier with advanced monitoring features. Good monitoring during mixing is crucial for evaluating the audio mix. It is just as important for artists to hear themselves perfectly when recording in order to deliver their best performance. With the xpector, we have solved both challenges for the artist and the producer.

Features

Dual Headphone Outputs. The xpector supports two independent headphone outputs, allowing for simultaneous monitoring by multiple users without compromising audio quality. Perfect for studio sessions where collaboration is key.

Precision Monitoring. Equipped with advanced monitoring features, it ensures crystal-clear audio reproduction. Its meticulous engineering provides exceptional clarity and accuracy, making it an essential tool for mixing and recording.

Customizable EQ Settings. Tailor the artist’s listening experience with customizable EQ settings, allowing you to adjust the artist’s headphone to match their preferences and specific monitoring needs.

High-Quality Components. Built with premium components, it delivers outstanding sound performance and durability. Its robust construction ensures reliability even in demanding studio environments.

User-Friendly Interface. Designed with a straightforward interface, it offers intuitive control over two individual mixes, volume levels, EQ settings, and monitoring modes, making it easy for users to focus on their creative process.

The ultimate monitoring tool. The key to a perfect recording is monitoring. If artists can’t hear themself, they can’t deliver a great performance. The xpector has a dedicated side for the artist, including two mix controllers for the Direct and the DAW signal.

Just feed a playback signal from the DAW to the xpector and connect an external preamp – the result is a low latency monitoring setup. In addition, a high- and low shelving equalizer adds tone control to the artist’s headphone to get the best possible monitoring signal while recording.

The engineer on the other side, has separate mix controllers and advanced monitoring features with different modes for monitoring so that the signal can be evaluated correctly. The user-friendly and quick access to different modes makes the recording workflow perfect.

Mix to your own taste. The producer and the artist both have their own dedicated monitor mix and controllers. You can connect up to two stereo inputs to the xpector and mix between both input signals.

The special feature is that there is a separate mix controller for each signal, so that you can very quickly make one of the two signals louder or quieter without changing the volume of the other signal. You want to quickly listen to the direct signal – turn the DAW control all the way to the left. The same goes the other way around.

Set up your personal mix of the two signals and adjust the headphone volume with the level control – that’s it.

Choose your mode. How does my mix sound on mono speakers? What audio information is available on the sides and do I need to process it further? These are all questions you should ask yourself when mixing. For this reason, we have developed special monitoring functions for the engineer.

With an intuitive rotary switch, you can quickly switch between stereo, mono, side, left and right modes.

These functions are particularly useful for correctly assessing the stereo field and making decisions, but also for assessing compatibility on other end devices such as boomboxes or small mono speakers. This way, your mix will come across exactly as you want it to.

Portable, compact and full of features. The qube is our ultraportable and loved chassis for professional audio wherever you need it. Our customers love the versatility and connections of the qube, so we decided to make a custom backplate for the xpector.

The in- and outputs that we needed for a dual headphone amplifier without compromises just can’t be offered by the 500 Series format. With 12 audio connections on the back panel the xpector meets every requirement – from home enthusiast to professional studios.

Get connected. The xpector has mirrored headphone outputs for the engineer and the artist on the back. If you want to connect speakers or your studio monitors you can use the balanced XLR outputs to use the xpector as your monitor controller and benefit from the superb audio quality and true three-dimensional stereo image.

The stereo Direct and DAW inputs feed signals to the corresponding mix controllers at the front so that engineers and artists can adjust their mix to taste. But we’re not stopping. If you want to daisy-chain multiple units you can. Or use the Loop outputs to feed the output signal of a preamp connected to the direct input to your interface. There are multiple possibilities using the xpector – see the application examples below.

Puristic Power. It all starts with a strong foundation. We designed a super-low noise internal Power Supply just for the xpector. To give you the best experience in Audio Quality. So you just concentrate on your music and relax knowing that the signal flow is simply the purest you can get.
