GeoOboe runs inside GeoShred Studio, placing the oboe's penetrating, reedy voice on GeoShred's multi-row continuous pitch surface. Press into the grid to shape embouchure pressure and reed dynamics; use gesture to control vibrato depth and the tonal shifts between the oboe's clear upper register and its richer, darker lower range. Every nuance that defines expressive oboe performance responds continuously to what your hands do on the surface. The SWAM engine models the underlying conical bore acoustics and double-reed interaction; GeoShred Studio's integrated FX rack delivers reverb, echo, and amp modeling throughout the performance chain.

The Oboe's Acoustic Identity. The oboe's conical bore produces a nearly complete harmonic series, giving it a penetrating, immediately identifiable tone that cuts through even complex orchestral textures. Its characteristic vibrato comes from slight variations in breath pressure and embouchure, and every player's handmade double reeds shape the instrument's character differently. GeoShred Studio captures that tonal specificity continuously, with the move from a clear upper register to a richer, darker lower range responding directly to pressure and gesture input.
GeoShred Studio and GeoShred Control. GeoShred Studio runs as a VST3, AU, or AUv3 plugin inside Logic Pro, Cubase, Reaper, and major DAWs, or as a standalone application. Its continuous pitch surface and real-time pressure mapping are native to the platform, designed for exactly this kind of multidimensional expressive control from wind, breath, and MPE input. Wind and breath controllers connect directly and pair naturally with the oboe model's breath-driven character.
GeoShred Control is a free iPhone and iPad companion app that pairs with GeoShred Studio over USB, delivering a second expressive surface during live performance.
