GeoTenorSax runs inside GeoShred Studio, putting the tenor saxophone's full expressive vocabulary on GeoShred's multi-row continuous pitch surface. Slide across the grid to move through the instrument's registers; press into the surface to shape embouchure dynamics, growl intensity, and vibrato depth in real time. GeoShred's pressure-sensitive layout lets you control the warm, dark low register, the fuller middle range, and the penetrating altissimo as a continuous performance without mode switches or articulation presets. The SWAM engine models the underlying acoustic behavior; GeoShred's integrated FX rack adds reverb, echo, and amp modeling as part of the signal chain throughout.

The Tenor Saxophone's Acoustic Identity. The tenor saxophone is a conical-bore, single-reed instrument made of brass, pitched in Bb, whose warm low register, projecting middle range, and raw altissimo top made it the defining solo voice of jazz. Growl, vibrato, and subtone are not discrete playing modes but continuous variations of the same acoustic mechanism, shaped by simultaneous humming, jaw movement, and breath control. In GeoShred Studio, all three respond to continuous pressure and gesture input across the full tonal range.
GeoShred Studio and GeoShred Control. GeoShred Studio is moForte's professional desktop instrument platform, running as a VST3, AU, or AUv3 plugin inside your DAW or as a standalone application. The multi-row isomorphic surface maps naturally to the saxophone's continuous, breath-driven character: chromatic runs fall under the fingers without awkward position shifts, and the pressure response translates directly to the breath dynamics that define saxophone phrasing. Wind and breath controllers connect directly, and MPE hardware integrates natively.
GeoShred Control pairs with GeoShred Studio over USB, delivering a free multi-touch iOS surface for live performance alongside hardware controllers.
