With its soft, ethereal tones and timeless beauty, the harp opens the gates to new, enchanting soundscapes. Crossing genre boundaries, this instrument brings a special atmosphere and rich tonal color to any recording. Its many strings release a magical world of sound, captivating listeners with tones that seem to emerge from a fairytale. Now, you can explore all of these possibilities with this harmonically versatile library that features two different harps with a wealth of meticulously captured, delicate playing techniques. Recorded in the relatively dry, controlled environment of Vienna’s Silent Stage, this library allows you to shape and expand your custom harp tones – whether you prefer them pure and dry or enhanced with the otherworldly quality of the convolution reverb, powered by Vienna MIR technology.

Strings of Heavenly Expressions. These two distinct harps, each with vastly different playing techniques, showcase the incredible range of creative expression and nuanced sound these instruments can deliver. Apart from single notes in various playing styles, the first harp offers a copious amount of mesmerizingly beautiful glissandos and arpeggios in numerous scales and tempos, all perfectly organized and easily accessible in the Synchron Player’s color-coded articulation structure. The second harp offers an even larger number of single notes that were additionally played with fingernails, damped, près de la table, as well as harmonics, bisbigliandos, and pedal glissandos.

Shimmering Sounds. Recorded in the tight and controlled ambience of Vienna’s Silent Stage, these virtual instruments deliver the purest, most unadulterated harp sounds imaginable. Choose the ‘unprocessed’ preset for a completely dry sound – so clear and direct, it feels as if you're sitting right beside the virtuoso harpist as she performs. But that’s just the beginning. Using the Synchron Player’s built-in effects, you can gradually introduce reverb to enhance the harp’s ethereal beauty, adding sheen and shimmer to the sound. You also have full flexibility to place the harps anywhere in the stereo field and incorporate any reverb of your choice, including the immersive spaces offered by Vienna MIR Pro 3D.

The Artists. Both harps were performed by exceptional virtuosos, each with illustrious careers and vast experience. Harp 1 was played by Ruth Rojahn, the solo harpist of the Hofer Symphoniker who has also demonstrated her skills in orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic, the Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, Tonkünstler Orchestra, and many others. Harp 2 was played by Julia Reth who shared the stage with orchestras such as the Vienna Philharmonic, Wiener Symphoniker, Radio Symphony Orchestra Vienna, Klangforum Wien, Neue Oper Wien, and many others.
